Blair Comley PSM - Board Member

    Blair Comley is the Secretary of the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and the State’s senior public servant.

    Mr Comley is a board member of Infrastructure NSW, the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), the NSW Public Service Commission Advisory Board and is chair of the Secretaries Board of the NSW Public Service.

    Previously Mr Comley was Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism and the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and was a member of the Secretaries Board. Prior to becoming Secretary, Blair was Deputy Secretary of the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency.

    Earlier, Mr Comley held a range of senior positions in the Treasury including as General Manager of the Business Tax Division, Indirect Tax Division, Macroeconomic Policy Division and the Debt Management Review Team.

    Mr Comley represented Australia for three years on economic matters at the OECD and was the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Office of Financial Management with responsibility for managing the Australian Government’s debt and related derivative portfolio.

    Mr Comley has also been a special adviser at PricewaterhouseCooopers and was a lecturer in the Department of Economics at Monash University.

    Mr Comley holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Master of Economics from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Australian National University.
